The Arlottas are not looking for quick fixes but are continually building the foundation for the long term. The competition in town is tough to garner the dollar and the fans but like John says there are no excuses. The fans going to the game see how great a game lacrosse is and I think most feel that what we see on the floor is the best the town has to offer, which I agree with 100%. It was an easy sell for me, its all the others out there that haven't been to The Hive they are working on slowly.
This year there is a lot more attention in the media for the team which may not be reflecting in the attendance but if it continues, that exposure will pay off in the future.
Oh yeah, a few more wins wouldn't hurt.

I thought the article was a good one. While I agree there has been more media attention this year than I remember last year as a non season ticket holder I think the media blitz has come near the end of the season, not the beginning of the season to draw fans in early and get them hooked for the season. I know the Arlotta's have really been trying to get the media to expand the coverage and the swarm have been overshadowed during the early parts of the season by other teams.

They do seem to be getting more media exposure that they don't have to pay for. I became a little light-headed when I saw the Zack piece on the WCCO 6p news.

Down in SE MN media coverage is nil, as far as I am aware.
I've been doing my own media blitz, a word of mouth version.
In fact myself and my family advertise how cool Swarm Lacrosse is all the time.
Now that I've a laptop which I can feed into my TV I'm thinking I might have to start inviting people over to watch on the big screen.
Only problem there is watching the feed can sometimes be a painful experience in and of itself.

I think the media connection still lacks verve and consistency.
We could have an impact on that. Hit up ALL THE HOSTS on both KFAN and 1500ESPN.
A couple of years ago, I sent multiple e-mails to Matt Thomas at AM-1500 (KSTP) and he eventually put Ryan Ward on the air, and brought him back four times over two seasons. Joe Anderson has picked up the ball several times. Oatmeal A $ $ Reusse is worthless, so just ignore him.
The zero home games in March bites and consistency is king in media.
