Taking a cue from the Corporal's signature; people should post here telling the Swarm they need to get blue turf. It would super awesome if the lines and creases and what-not were gold-shaded too... One hoorah for blue turf!
Curly Fro
blue turf with Bee Hive Cone patterns (as seen on with The Hive logo) in each goalie crease!!!

That look sweet and make it easier to see crease violations

The Swarm said that if we help them out a bit they will get blue turf. They aren't asking a whole lot from us. We just have to raise a little money. About $250,000.00 is all.
butala
ick to blue turf anyway.
with our new blue jerseys the guys would just look like heads and legs running around out there...

I'm laughing because- last December, i started a topic strand on Blue Turf and, i wish i could find it- but i think it's deleted now- but Holy Chips and Guac!- Did that open a can of salsa-
I've learned that talking about the (whisper voice) b-l-u-e--t-u-r-f is not a good idea....
i wish i could find that topic...

I've gathered that there is a rather vocal opposition to it. I could care less, just seems like it might be a cool idea to make the place feel more Swarm-esque as opposed to "hey we're the Swarm playing in the Wild's arena".

peace to it 'Bro- don't get be gettin mad at me now... i'm strictly being humourous- because seriously, and there are MANY OF YOU OUT THERE WHO KNOW WHO YOU ARE!- that after i brought it up-i honestly thought it was a newbie trap or a "hazing rite" of some sort -- the strand started to get full of pretty silly suggestions on how to MAKE Green Turf Look Blue, chock full of Scientific Suggestions and even suggestions of "borrowing" turf from an opposing team.
It was a hoot!

It could be worse--- my son's team just started up and they had a bucket of green balls their 1st practice---GREEN BALLS and GREEN TURF don't mix! ( and being on sale don't make it a bargain - green balls are always half the price of the white or yellow ones)

You know what would be cool though? Is IF there was blue turf installed... it was like a "blue Screen" - you know, like they use in movies to make it look like background. We could have a "blue screen" field and really mess with the opponents- like, make it look like they're going to run off the side of a cliff or falling into deep space or something when they're in our zone. That would be fun!

"Tick Tick Tick...Boom"

What color of blue are we talking here. Cause there are some shades of blue that would look horrible on the turf.
Rattlebones
I have to admit that I wasn't around for the previous discussion but blue turf isn't that hard to find.

In about 45 seconds I had a link to a supplier of blue synthetic turf...

Frankly I find the idea somewhat appealing. I also like the ideas of maybe doing the creases in honeycomb design. Although I see an issue with that for officials trying to determine goals and whatnot.

I'll buy them from you, if you want to get rid of them. Eventually all my home lax balls end up mud colored, so their initial color doesn't matter and I haven't see any dark green ones that would have a problem with our lawn.

they're not mine- i think they're either one of the coaches or come from the arena.
