joe talked to someone in the organization today about local lax coverage. the guy said it is up to us, the fans, at this point. they've done what they can , now we need to call, e-mail, or whatever, and let the local papers know there is demand for lax coverage. enough of us make some noise to the pioneer press and the trib and maybe we can get their attention...
so lets let them know we want it! beck
ps: i write this even tho my heart is breaking from the great 'unfriending'. but i still love and support the team...

it is horrible to be 'unfriended' on facebook. especially when its unjust...
AND he hasn't 'RE-friended' me, even tho i told him i shed actual tears...
but i will stop being so dramatic, suck it up, and cheer my wounded heart out tonight.

Whew, another bullet dodged! Leaving facebook to 12 yr old girls has allowed me to avoid getting "unfriended". Does facebook replace typed punctuation with the word "like" too?

ok so the original intent of this post was to remind people to let the PRESS and TRIB know that we want lax coverage. like the squeaky wheel gets the grease and the news coverage. :)

as a side note about the 'unfriending' (a lot less important than the news coverage): mystery solved. andy talked to one of the office computer people about the situation, and it was determined that something went down that was INAPPROPRIATE. gasp! oops did i unknowingly sexually harass a guy in a guy suit?!? not my usual m.o., hmmm. you guys know i'm innocent, right? :) beck

You have to be careful what you say or post on official Swarm profiles. On MySpace I posted a comment on the Swarm page about the Hive pre-game at Great Waters. This was a couple of years ago. Anyway, I included a link to GW's menu and beer selection. They wouldn't allow my comment because of the beer link.

I think the reason Corpsy got flak was because they thought he officially represented the Swarm. I believe he was sending what seemed to be press releases. It is a good idea to have the fans flood the stations and papers with requests for more coverage. Corp was feeding them info... There is a big dif. I doubt the swarm would care that we start a writing campaign.
