Congratulations, Dewey!!
old goalie
That's great news!! I regret that I was never able to watch him play in person. He put up some pretty good numbers over the years and definitely deserves this honor. I am very happy for him and his family!

Congratulations Dewey. That is truly and honor.
Corporal
Congratulations Dewey. I imagine in 20 or 30 years after retiring as Swarm Head Coach after leading the team to championship after championship, that Dewey will also be in the Swarm Hall of Fame.

He also was inducted this past year into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame as part of the 1994-96 Six Nations Chiefs along with Marty O'Neill, Neil Doddridge and former Swarm assistant Paul St. John

QUOTE
The 1994-96 Six Nations Chiefs teams were Mann Cup Champions three years running. The Chiefs
team formed in 1993 with many Junior and Senior Six Nation players. The core of Chiefs came from
the 1992 Minto Cup champions Six Nations team with the likes of Cam and Tim Bomberry, Miles
General, Pete Skye, and Jason Johnson – while adding veterans Duane Jacobs, Tom Hawke, the
Kilgours (Darris, Travis and Rich), Paul St. John and Paul Gait. The Chiefs were destined for
greatness. Six Nations won the 1994 and 1995 Mann Cups respectively in six games over the New
Westminster Salmonbellies while winning the third title in 1996 over the Victoria Shamrocks in a four
game sweep.
