Minnesota Swarm Acquires Defenseman Ian Rubel


Ian Rubel was acquired from Toronto for a second round pick in the 2009 Draft. Also, Chris Courtney was re-signed. Darren Halls and Dan Marohl are now on IR.

Rubel will wear #40 for the Swarm.

Wildheadtatt, dtj, dtj's son Nick and myself met Ian along with Brad MacArthur and Jim Veltman in Winnipeg on December 9, 2006 at a local dining establishment and from that first impression, I think Ian will be a great addition to the team.
